The New 9u Rockaway Cadets are led by Dan McQuade & Jimmy Holzer.

This fine group of young boys were formed by Jay Montero in April of 2022. 

Since this time, the boys have worked 3-4 days a week throughout the season 

and offseason developing fundamental baseball skills and maturing as a team, 

building trust and camaraderie.

The result of this hard work over the last year and a half has paid off 

on the baseball field. During the 2023 baseball season the Rockaway Cadets 

currently hold a record of 40-7-2. They have won the 2023 HBQVB Spring and 

2023 Kiwanis Summer championships. 

As a result of their league success, they began entering tournaments

in May of 2023 and have a combined tournament record of 15-5-1. 

The Rockaway Cadets have earned 2nd place in four tournaments, including runner 

up in the Borough Cup as well capturing their most recent championship

in the USABL Fall Slugfest Tournament. 

The Cadets Baseball Club's motto is "Good citizens tomorrow through clean sports today." 

The New 9u Cadets have a bright future. It will be fun to watch them continue to develop 

their skills as athletes and future leaders of the community.
